Work has begun on the Maquoketa River Bridge just north of Green Island. Looks like to me they are going to build a brand new bridge to the west of the old one? Work was halted early today because of the rising water due to all the rain in the Midwest so far in October. The CP has done some work before on this bridge after derailment if I remember right? Looks like a new one is coming soon if the water ever goes down.
Train 475 rolls north towards the next crew change at Marquette. They are just getting up to speed after clearing the siding at Green Island after meeting B38. The train is on the CP Marquette Sub which runs from Samoa, IA, to LaCrescent, MN.
Taking a look at the same train and scene as captured by different photographers. The best way to view will be to sort by photo date so the photos are grouped together.
