CNW 205, a former Chicago Great Western F3A is mated up with an F3B, F7B and a GP9 at the sanding tower in Oelwein, IA. The consist is being readied for an assignment handling a train of the former CGW main. Within two years, CNW take over the parallel Rock Island Spine Line and through traffic between the Twin Cities, Des Moines, IA and Kansas City will transfer away from old CGW and M&St. L routes. Oelwein will ultimately be sold off and much of the CGW abandoned.
