| "LIRR Extra at Flushing Ave "
Long Island Rail Road Extra 5009 West detours down the Lower Montauk passing Flushing Avenue on their way to Long Island City Yard. This rare detour was a result of a minor derailment at Borden Avenue on the Main Line. In order to get trainsets to LIC Yard for the evening rush hour, 4 equipment extras were ran down the Lower Montauk. |
