| Charging Through Del Mar: The sun makes an attempt to break through morning cloud cover as Pacific Surfliner train 564 heads south through Del Mar. On the train this morning is a brand new SC-44 "Charger" locomotive built by Siemens Mobility in Florin, California. Over the next few months, 14 of these units will be phased in to replace Amtrak owned F59PHI and P42DC locomotives. |
