| With the winter and spring months of 2016 being extremely green on Tehachapi, it meant that the summer wild grasses of 2016 would be both extremely golden and very tall as well. In spots, it was easily up to my waist line. For these shots you have to carefully navigate your way up through the tall wild grasses, making sure to keep an eye out for rattlesnakes. Summers for me on Tehachapi can be a hit or miss on shots because of the lack of cloud cover. The only great shot opportunities come right at sunrise or sunset. Here a northbound UP intermodal slowly drifts down the golden hills and is exiting the Allard horseshoe curve while the rear portion of the train can be seen in the background approaching the curve. |
