Four Southern Pacific tunnel motors lug fifty-six cars of eastbound freight past a work train at Cliff siding on the Tehachapi grade. Two of SP’s SD9’s are in charge of the work train, which is picking up rail. Caliente can be seen in the valley to the right of the lead unit.
