In later years the Western Maryland's pair of EMD BL2s were assigned to yard jobs at Hagerstown, MD, paired with homemade slugs for extra tractive effort. WM 82, seen working here on a winter day with its slug companion, survives in excursion service on the Durbin & Greenbriar Valley RR.
