| One of the most unusual designs ever to roll out of the erecting hall of Montreal Locomotive Works was the RS-23. Looking like an end-cab switcher on a raised frame with AAR road trucks under it, the RS-23 was sold as a road switcher. The Canadian Pacific bought 34 of the 40 produced. I often wonder if these rode batter than a conventional switcher. |
