Remarks & Notes

A westbound Delaware & Hudson freight headed up by a quartet of GP39-2s was about to duck under Conrail's Selkirk Branch at South Schenectady, NY. The first and last units are D&H natives while the two in the middle are ex-Reading locomotives acquired four months earlier as part of the D&H's post-Conrail expansion.
