    Remarks & Notes
Santa Fe 2756 East emerges from tunnel 5 with her diesel exhaust billowing skyward. The freight is fighting a heavy grade and almost constant curvature. It was not unusual to see GP30s on the point of Santa Fe road freights, even on Tehachapi. The carrier used a fleet of four-axle EMDs to shuttle freight between Barstow and Bakersfield.
