Remarks & Notes

The historic depot in Stevenson, Alabama, is all decked out for Christmas. It was built in 1872 as a joint venture between the Memphis and Charleston Railroad, and the Nashville and Chattanooga Railroad, whose lines converged in Stevenson. After some ownership changes, L&N ended up as sole owner of the depot in 1898 and operated it until 1976. It is now a local history museum.
