| I am sometimes amazed that these things stay on the rails. UP 1478 eases over some rough track through downtown Jefferson on their way to pick up a refrigerated box car at the end of the line. This is the last shot I would get of this ill fated train. A seemingly distracted motorist plowed directly into the side of the last car in the train about 30 minutes later. The impact was enough to total the car, but it did not appear that anybody was injured. |
