| The weather the past week has had mornings filled with fog making the Iowa landscape fairly frosty. I lucked into the Iowa River heading north to do interchange work with the CN near Ackley. The pass couple times I have done these guys they are done by mid-morning. Today they didn't get to Ackley til around 10am. The IARR has done well to get the a decent looking pair of units on this line. The IARR began operation in 2006 with operations between Marshalltown and Ackley, but in 2012 the south end was abandoned and this short 9 mile section was kept for the ethanol plant operations. |
