    Remarks & Notes
Two freights are in the hole at Knightsen for Amtrak 265 West, a San Joaquin train out of Bakersfield. This 3-way meet represents three railroads: Amtrak, UP, and Santa Fe. UP's Pittsburg Local headed back to Stockton is first in the siding, followed by a Santa Fe eastbound. The San Joaquin is doing approximately 70-79 mph.

From one train each way in 1973 between Bakersfield and Oakland when it started up, this line as expanded to six trips daily; four to Oakland and two to Sacramento.

What California is known for. Fires, droughts, weed, and people waving rainbow flags. Yah. Great place alright. At least the trains are nice.

Everyone's favorite! Phase III was introduced in the late 70's and is now having a comeback.
