Remarks & Notes
A.K.A. "Little Joe", in USA or "Russian", in Brazil, only 20 of them were built, in 1946. ⠀ Originally, they will be exported to Russia, but Cold War canceled the comercial relationship between USA and Russia, so the locomotives were sold to Milwaukee Road (12), Chicago, South Shore and South Bend (3) and brazilian "Cia Paulista" (5), where they were regauged to 1,60m. ⠀ They made a good work, till 1974 on Milwaukee Road, till 1983 on South Bend and 1999, in Brazil, when the electrified railways were extinguished all around the country. ⠀ From the 20 that were built, the South Shore #803 is preserved and operational, #802, is preserved on a static display, in South Shore Railway Museum. Milwaukee Road E70, is also preserved on a static display, in Montana. ⠀ In Brazil all the five survived, but in bad conditions. ⠀ One unit rests in Jundiaí, with good body condition, but without wheels. Three of them are in Triagem Paulista (Bauru-SP), without wheels and with the body on the ground. ⠀ The #6451 in the picture, is in Bauru's Station, waiting for a body restoration, that's coming soon. Then, it will be put in a static display in Bauru's Museum.
