Overlooking the Tejon Ranch early in the morning, we can see two freights meeting on the Allard Horseshoe, one an SP eastbound, the other a Santa Fe pig heading for the San Joaquin Valley. Springtime on Tehachapi can be spectacular if the rains have been merciful.
