A sea of Maintenance-of-Way Equipment covers nearly every inch of rail that makes up the 4,290 feet siding here at Roanoke. There's a lot of work that needs to be done, so a massive Tie Gang was brought in to get the job done ASAP. One of the CSX employees told me that this is one of the largest he has every been apart of. There're more than 25 machines here assigned for the work.
