Norfolk & Western SD35 1574 stands by the servicing facilities in Portsmouth, Ohio. Most second generation high hoods represented a small minority of the total production of their model, but N&W and Southern bought a combined 180 high hood SD35’s, fully fifty percent of the total production of 360.
