| An eastbound intermodal train conforms to the curves approaching Sherman, Wyoming and the 8015' summit of Sherman Hill. UP 6706 on the point began life as Chicago & Northwestern 8804, reporting for work in late 1994 for its original owner. Following the UP-C&NW merger in 1995 the 8804 eventually received UP number 6706 but retained the colors of the C&NW. Today 6706 is one of the last (if not the last) AC4400 to still wear C&NW yellow and green. |
