At 12:12 p.m. on January 13, 1990, Conrail ELPR3 (Elkhart to Proviso) freight swings through the curves at New Carlisle, Indiana, powered by C40-8 No. 6033 and EMD SD40 No. 6359. No. 6033 was only ten months old, being built at Erie in March 1989. I spent quite a bit of time there on that hill at the edge of the cemetery capturing non-stop Conrail action…
