Remarks & Notes

"CTrail at Spring Tower" A southbound CTrail Hartford Line train passes the old Spring Tower while beginning it's trip to New Haven Union Station. Spring Tower was constructed by the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad and controlled "Sweeney" and "Spring" Interlockings on the Springfield Line. The original roofing was removed & flattened in the 1960s to accommodate the I-91 overpass which carries north and southbound traffic directly overhead.
