          Remarks & Notes
The DL-109, introduced in 1940, was Alco's first production model road diesel, and the last surviving example was New Haven 0716, which had been converted to a stationary power plant and renumbered PP716. Here the rusty relic waited out the night at Dover Street Yard in South Boston. It was finally scrapped in early 1969.
