| On the footplate of Europe's most powerfull narrow gauge cogwheel steamlocomotive, HG 4/4 # 704 of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (DFB), which is running through the 1874 meter long Furka summit tunnel. This 0-8-0 T 800 horsepower 4 cylinder compound locomotive was built by the SLM Winterthur in 1923 and delivered to Indochine (later Vietnam), now is is on the Furka mountain line new this season. The picture was taken from the first car of train 134. |
