Remarks & Notes

Norfolk Southern AC44C6M 4163 was built from NS Dash 9-40CW 8961. This engine was rebuilt and converted to AC power at General Electric's Fort Worth, Texas, facility. It was placed in service on May 6, 2018, and photographed in East Chicago, Indiana, on September 29, 2018. The engine is coupled to NS Dash 8-40CW 8349, the former Conrail 6109.
