Penn Central train 427 between Boston and Albany was Boston's pre-Amtrak connection to Chicago and points in between. With its usual modest consist of an E8, a coach, and a snack bar coach, train 427 sped past the site of the former Riverside station in Newton, MA, on a spring afternoon.
