| Celebrating a sad anniversary. It has been 50 years since service ended in the Myrtle Avenue Elevated in 1969. The MTA New York City Transit Subway/New York Transit Museum operated a special across the eastern division of the BMT on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Looking out towards the Williamsburg Bridge, the combined train of R9s and wooden elevated cars approaches the Marcy Avenue Station. The trains would cut apart and run separately throughout the afternoon. |
