      Remarks & Notes
After running into 10+ hour delays the day before, N&W J-Class 4-8-4 #611's ferry move from Roanoke to Strasburg, PA is back on the move on the morning of August 20th. Seen here crossing the famed Compton Trestle just a few miles north of Luray, this move marked the first time a steam locomotive ran the entire length of the 'Valley Line' since 1957.
