An eastbound BNSF freight has just crossed the Washington-Idaho state line and approaches Hauser Yard at Hauser Junction, Idaho, on October 6, 2018. A pair a great-looking EMDs power the train—SD75M No. 258, formerly a warbonnet-clad BNSF No. 8258, and SD60M No. 1412 that was Cascade green Burlington Northern No. 9225 in a previous life. Both are painted in what I think everyone is calling “Heritage IV” colors (or is “HI 1/2”), which might be a good idea for the whole roster.
