| With forecast rain and wind, the peak foliage in Vermont's Green Mountains made a last stand on October 8, amid the only sun forecast in a 10-day period. Vermont Rail System's Green Mountain Railroad Passenger Services Fall Foliage Flyer is seen heading eastbound into the Cavendish Gulf with gorgeous color abound for the hundred's of leaf peepers riding the passenger extra to take in. Vermont Railway GP40-2 303 is the east unit on the through-train MU consist, while GMRC Alco RS-1 405 is the west unit. |
