| Freight traffic in Iowa has been getting heavier as the summer has gone on. That usually means a few X338's will run to help move additional traffic the daily M338 can not handle. As in the case today, this 4,900 feet of traffic out of Waterloo is being handle by this late day X338. Lucky for me the train ran close to sunset allowing for some sunset opportunities not easily found on this end of the railroad most evenings. Here the train dips thru the big hogback found west of Independence. |
