A trio of Kaiser's Eagle Mountain Railroad GE U33C's have just delivered a train of iron ore to the SP interchange at Ferrum, CA, with Salton Sea in the distance. The units have run around the train and are about to pick up the caboose off the rear and head back to Eagle Mountain caboose hop. This was one of, if not the only, US railroad interchange located below sea level.
