| This series of S Curves at Kyune in the upper end of Utah’s Price River Canyon is one of my favorite photo locations. The grade here is up to 2.4% and the heavy coal trains need a 3 or 4 unit manned helper set cut in about 2/3 of the way back in the train in addition to a couple of un-manned DPU helpers on the rear end. The helpers are entrained right in front of the depot/yard office in Helper. It’s a great place for fans to watch the action. |
