Remarks & Notes

Former C&NW SD40-2 No. 6817 now wears a UP shield as it leads another former C&NW SD down the Boyer River valley, about to pass beneath the US 30 overhead bridge in Logan, IA. Only recently had this section of the railroad had its double (2MT) track restored after C&NW had single-tracked the line from Dennison west in the 60s or early 70s. Fuji Velvia.
