| BNSF 2076 leads a trio of heritage I painted Geeps basking in the sun at Interbay locomotive facilities in Seattle. In 2004 it was also still common to see some green units, although most were re-lettered. The 2076 was built in March 1970 for SP&S (was to be no. 204). and has carried the 2076 number through its 25 years on BN and on into BNSF. Internet sources state the unit was reclassified as a GP38-2, however it was built as and maintains its GP38 carbody in this photo. |
