    Remarks & Notes
Built in 1908 by the Pennsylvania Railroad, the Raritan River Drawbridge, "River Draw", is the sole rail link for 17 of the 20 rail stations on NJ Transit's North Jersey Coast Line. It spans the distance between Perth Amboy and South Amboy, NJ about a half a mile from where the Raritan River meets the Atlantic Ocean and carries almost 10,000 NJ Transit costumers a day. A new bridge is expected be built to replace the existing swing bridge, which suffered severe damage during hurricane Sandy. The bridge is seen here from the south shore of Raritan Bay carrying a westbound train from New York to Long Branch on a cold, late Autumn afternoon.
