Remarks & Notes

This was an odd one. From front to back we have a backwards-running Boston & Maine GP39-2, a Maine Central (ex-Detroit Edison) SD40, a Springfield Terminal SD26, and a Boston & Maine GP38-2. The eastbound freight has just diverged from the Fitchburg mainline onto the Stony Brook Branch at Willows interlocking in Ayer, MA.
