| "Two Vintage Amtrak Icons, One Station"
Two vintage Amtrak icons in the same place. Which one will outlive the other? AEM-7AC 927 sits on the rear of Amtrak Extra 648 with 7 other AEM-7ACs at New Haven Union Station on Metro North's New Haven Line. The train is heading to Cedar Hill where it will wait for the other 7 to join then proceed onward to it's final destination in Davisville, RI for storage. As per MNR rules, only 12 locomotives can be present in a single consist. Because of this the 15 AEM-7s were split up into two moves. |
