| Close up view of the derailed cars and damage to the Appalachian Trail bridge.
In the early morning hours CSX B 802 returning with the empty BNSF grain train derailed at Harpers Ferry National Park. Fortunately the crew was ok as the power remained on the bridge. Approximately 6 cars derailed with 2 in the Potomac River. The former B&O mainline was not impacted. |
