| The RCP&E Rapid City to Huron train slowly pokes east along the PRC Sub near Van Meter. This area really takes you to no man's land. The area is desolate and it is crazy to see some of the abandon houses that are out here (someone wanted to live out here!) We drove back a few miles off the beaten path to get the train crossing the Bad River. The railroad and the river pretty much go hand and hand from Fort Pierre to west of Philip. Not a big G&W fan, but the orange jumps off the screen in this area. |
