Conrail lives! Very rare SW8 #8687 rests after switching cars at Maryland Pig Services of Illinois, located in the south side of Chicago. She was built as the LV 273 in 1951. If you look closely, you can see the Lehigh Valley stripes beginning to show through the paint.
