The metre gauge tramway from Triste to Villa Opicina is most unusual. It has an 800 metre section of steep climbing which requires the trams to be banked (pushed) by a cable tractor loco. I believe these helper locos have now been replaced by much smaller, driverless, locos which can be driven, in multiple, by the driver of the tram (streetcar).
