| The "Expreso del Recuerdo" heritage train, on its first tour on the Santiago - Valparaiso line in more than 20 years, passes over Polpaico bridge, led by Transap's D-2304.
For this trip the classic pair of locomotives (16.000 + 7.100) that normally pull the convoy was left aside and replaced by a type 23 (EMD SD39) from Transap. This decision was made based on the steep slopes that this section has in comparison to the classic route to San Antonio, slopes in which the dynamic brake of this type of locomotive is a great advantage. |
