On July 26, 1996, an eastbound Southern Pacific freight follows the Arkansas River as it negotiates the rugged and rocky confines of the Royal Gorge west of Ca?on City, Colorado. Just ahead of the train visible at the bottom of the scene is Hanging Bridge which is the narrowest portion of the chasm.
