| Traffic was light on the UP's Clinton Sub as we only seen 7 eastbounds between 12-5pm, and **NO** westbounds this day. One eastbound we got was this loaded coal train. here the train fights the grade thru town and passes this 180 foot long ex-Chicago Northwestern depot/freighthouse build in 1894. It was designed in the Classical Revival style with Greek influences. The CN&W once had over 600 employees that worked at this division headquarters. The depot now sits vacant and privately owned, talks of the historical group getting it, but nothing in my research showed any current plans. |
