Great Northern SD9 573 and sister SD9 587 rest in the bitter cold at Belknap St. Roundhouse in Superior January 1969. The 573 has lived a full life since being built in February 1954 carrying 5 different road numbers in it's life GN 573, BN 6100, BNSF 6100, BNSF 1710 and finally BNSF 1550. This locomotive received a Class 1 rebuild in 1998 by BNSF and as of January 2020 is in a storage line at Northtown Yard in Minneapolis. Whether it's stored serviceable I cannot confirm but let's hope so! Original slide from my collection, No Photographer Listed.
