| BNSF 3990 rounds the curves west of the Columbia River bridge near Rock Island, WA with a J train consisting of Boeing 737 fuselages. The tight curves restrict the trains to about 25 mph here. The Rock Island bridge is a bridge within a bridge, strengthened years ago by the Great Northern after being built across the Columbia River at the narrowest spot they could find downstream from Wenatchee, WA. |
