Boston and Maine switcher awaits it's next duties while sitting in the yard in Manchester with the old depot in the background. Back then the trains would cross the busy Elm St. (runs parallel to the yard in the elevated rear) and drop off cars at several customers before returning. Then before that the tracks continued east all the way to the seacoast and have been long taken up.
