A UP Z train begins the descent into the Spoon River Valley just west of Williamsfeild, IL. The UP utilizes a trackage rights agreement with the BNSF between Chicago, and Kansas City, MO. The BNSF transcon is host to many Union Pacific intermodal, and vehicle trains a day.
