| As the afternoon sun begins to fade into the early evening hours, a Georgia Central freight enters the east end of Lyons Georgia with the GC 1706 leading the train west to Vidalia. The 1706 was originally built as a GP9 for the Pennsylvania Railroad in 1959 but was later upgraded to a GP10 under Conrail ownership. |
