My father made a trip to Sayre on April 18, 1959 and took many pictures from the footbridge over the engine terminal. It was clear that in 1959 it was a novelty for the crews to see someone taking pictures of the locomotives (and them). By the 1970's railfans were so common on the footbridge that I'm sure the crews barely noticed them.
